Emilia is a registered Counselling Psychologist with AHPRA and a member of the APS. She has developed a strong clinical focus in perinatal mental health and works with older adolescents (16+), adults, and parents.
Emilia supports mothers and fathers through conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Her work centres on the emotional and psychological complexities of this transition, including perinatal anxiety and depression, grief and loss, adjustment to parenthood, and the identity and relational changes that can emerge during this time. She also works with experiences such as intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, anger and resentment, stress and burnout, and challenges associated with returning to work.
In addition to her perinatal work, Emilia has experience supporting parents to build and strengthen connected relationships with their children across developmental stages, from infancy through to adolescence. She works with parents to better understand their child’s emotional needs, navigate behavioural and relational challenges, and feel more confident and attuned in their parenting.
Emilia also supports older adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, self-esteem difficulties, and interpersonal or relational concerns. She brings an interest in how developmental experiences, life transitions, and relational patterns shape emotional wellbeing across the lifespan.
Emilia’s approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on tailoring therapy to each individual. She draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, schema-informed, interpersonal and emotion-focused therapies, and her work is grounded in relational, person-centred, and attachment-informed principles. She aims to offer a reflective and supportive space while also helping clients deepen insight, strengthen coping, and create meaningful sustainable change.
